Introduction & Backsolo

Low-slope membrana telhados (TPO, PVC, EPDM) are the dominant telhadoing type for comercial, industrial, and institutional buildings worldwide. Traditional penetration-based montagem sistemas drill through the membrana and into the telhado deck, creating leak paths that require ongoing manutenção and increase long-term owner risk. Com Lastro sistemas avoid penetrations but add significant dead load (typically 15–25 psf), often exceeding the telhado’s structural capacity and increasing building costs.

Valin’s TrilhoBase™ sistema introduces a third approach: a hot-air welded, non-penetrating base that bonds directly to the membrana surface using the same welding processo as the original telhado construction. This eliminates both leak paths and ballast weight.

Sistema Design & Components

The TrilhoBase™ sistema consists of four primary component categories:

Integrated Membrana-Trilho Base
Extruded alumínio 6063-T5 base with TPO/PVC/EPDM welding flange. Available in R250, R500, R1000, R1840 lengths.

Suporte Structures
Front/rear columns and diagonal braces (Type A ≤1899mm, Type B >1899mm painels) for tilt configurations.

Angle-Adjustment Kits
Leste-west and south tilt adapters enabling 10° fixed-angle orientation with integrado wind deflectors.

Panel Grampoing Sistema
Universal mid and end clamps compatible with framed (30-50mm) and frameless painels. EPDM compression gaskets included.

All alumínio components are anodized to AA15 corrosion proteção rating. Fixadors are 304 inoxidável aço. The welding flange uses a co-extruded TPO/PVC bonding layer matching the telhadoing membrana polymer for chemical fusion during hot-air welding.

  • Pull-out Resistance: 4000 N — the welded base-to-membrana bond exceeds the failure load of the membrana material itself. In all test cases, the membrana tore before the weld failed.

Membrana Compatibility & Welding Process

The TrilhoBase™ sistema is compatible with the three most common membrana types used in low-slope comercial telhadoing:

Welding Procedure: The membrana-rail base is positioned on the clean membrana surface. A padrão hot-air welding gun (same equipamento used for membrana seam welding) heats both the membrana surface and the base’s co-extruded bonding flange simultaneously. A silicone roller applies uniform pressure as the weld cools, creating a molecular-level fusion bond. The processo requires no primer, adhesive, or mechanical fastener. Cooling to full bond strength takes approximately 60 seconds.
